You have already come a long way in your love story together.  I want to tell that love story, with all its magic.  Your guests have journeyed especially to be part of your big day, and want to see your personalities shining through, with all that romantic sparkle. ​

You won't find stuffy ceremonies here!

But what shall we do on your big day?  Some couples know exactly what they want in intricate detail, others need a gentle nudge and steer.  This is where I can help.  As your Celebrant I will help you with all the choices.  We will craft something that truly reflects you both.  All weddings are based upon vows, and if you need it, I can help you write your personal vows and pledges. We will use your words. We will be mindful of your values and beliefs.  We will celebrate you love for each other.  Yes, you are the Stars of your big day, but I want you to feel comfortable.  I will make sure that the words we use feel natural.  When you are nice and relaxed, you can just enjoy the whole experience together and have fun!  That is so important.  

I like to point out that a marriage and a wedding are two different things.  A marriage is the legal part.  The contract between two people entering into a partnership.  A wedding is a ceremonial celebration of love.

Many people nowadays are opting for getting the legal bit done beforehand.  Many couples come from overseas do the legal bits in their home countries.  Some still choose to do that here in Cyprus, and your Wedding Coordinator can assist you with that.  Then it's over to me to deliver the ceremony of your dreams.   

The great news is that nowadays you really have your Wedding Ceremony wherever you like that truly resonates with you and your guests.  We can steer the ceremony in any direction that you want to go.  We can work together to create something that hits all the high notes.  There are so many elements that can be included such as poems, readings and songs.  Did I mention that I am also a singer!    

There are symbolic actions that your family and friends can be part of such as “warming the rings”.  There are symbolic visual elements such as “jumping the broom”.  There is the incredibly old ritual of “Hand Fasting” where our well known expressions like “tying the knot,” and “taking a hand in marriage” originate from.  

If you want a ceremony on a beach or a boat, with me dressed as a Pirate Captain, then so be it! On one occasion I was even asked to dress as an Irish Vicar complete with a cardigan and wellies. Whilst running the ceremony it was requested that I pretend to slowly get intoxicated on Irish Whiskey!  I really am open to any suggestions if it will make your celebration just as you want it.

About me

A little bit about my background and training. 

Originally for the U.K., I have lived in Cyprus since 2001.  During that time I have got married and had two wonderful children.  
After 27 years of working in Theatre and Entertainment and many summers of singing at weddings, I started to consider what I really wanted to do as a career in the next stage of my life journey.
My performance career took me to many destinations around the world.  
During that time, I had the opportunity of meeting the most amazing variety of people, of all ages, nationalities, and beliefs.  I have a genuine interest in people and love to find out all their stories.
It wanted to choose a career that involved being with people, and listening to their stories. ​

The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC) is a significant organization for independent celebrants in the UK and Europe. These dedicated celebrants are professionally trained to craft and deliver personalized ceremonies filled with meaning and heart. Whether you’re celebrating a new addition to the family, planning a lifelong commitment, renewing vows, or commemorating a loved one’s life, the FPC’s network of over 800 members offers flexibility and respect for your unique needs and beliefs.
Each FPC celebrant has been professionally trained, completing either the ‘Certificate in Funeral Celebrancy’ or the ‘Certificate in Marriage & Family Celebrancy’. They won’t dictate what you can or can’t have; instead, they’ll spend time with you, listen, and guide you to write and deliver a heartfelt ceremony tailored to your needs. Whether you seek a traditional or contemporary ceremony, FPC celebrants are committed to making it memorable for all the right reasons.
